Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Qilabah and Hazrat Ibn Sirin say regarding the slave-girl who, after being purchased, does not menstruate, that in order to be certain she is free from pregnancy, a minimum waiting period of three months will be observed.

Hasan says that a waiting period of three months will be observed for her to be free from pregnancy.

Hazrat Ata and Hazrat Tawus say that if it is known that she is free from pregnancy after one menstrual period, then that is sufficient; otherwise, she should wait for three menstrual periods.

Ibrahim says that a waiting period of three months will be observed.

Hazrat Mujahid says that a waiting period of three months will be observed.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz says that a waiting period of three months will be observed.
