Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that if a man has intercourse with his mother-in-law, his wife will become forbidden to him.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) states that due to intercourse with the daughter, the mother becomes forbidden, and due to intercourse with the mother, the daughter becomes forbidden.

Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Allah Almighty will not look with mercy at the person who has looked at the private parts of a woman and her daughter.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hani that the Prophet ﷺ said: If a person looks at the private part of a woman, then her mother and daughter do not remain lawful for him.

Ibrahim and Hazrat Amir say that if a man has intercourse with his wife's daughter, then both of them become forbidden to him. Ibrahim says that the scholars used to say that when a man looks at such a part of a woman which is not lawful for him to see, or he touches her with desire, then that woman, her mother, and her daughter become forbidden to him.

Hazrat Ata says that if a man commits adultery with a woman, then her daughter and mother will become forbidden (haram) for him.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Musbah narrates that I asked Ibrahim about a man who committed adultery with a woman; can he marry her mother? He replied, "No."

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about the man who committed adultery with his wife's mother, so what is the ruling for him now? They replied that in our view, it is better for them to separate.

Ibrahim says that if a person touches his slave-girl with desire, then he cannot marry her mother or her sister.

Hazrat Mujahid and Hazrat Ata say that if a man commits adultery with a woman, then marrying that woman is permissible for him, but he cannot marry her daughter.

Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid and Hasan considered it undesirable for a man to touch a woman whose mother he has had intercourse with.

Hazrat Yazid Rashk states that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, "If a man commits adultery with his mother-in-law, what is the ruling?" He replied, "The mother will become forbidden (haram), but the daughter will remain permissible (halal)."
