If a Man Owns a Share of His Slave Wife, Can He Have Relations with Her?
Hadith 16916
١٦٩١٦ - حدثنا هشيم عن يونس عن الحسن في (رجل) (١) تزوج أمة بين رجلين فاشترى نصيب أحدهما قال: يكف عنها حتى (يشتري) (٢) نصيب الآخر.
Hasan says that if a person marries a slave woman who is jointly owned by two men, and then he buys the share of one of them, he should refrain from her until he buys the other share as well.
Hadith 16917
١٦٩١٧ - حدثنا هشيم عن صاحب له عن حماد عن إبراهيم مثله.
Ibrahim also says the same.
Hadith 16918
١٦٩١٨ - حدثنا هشيم عن منصور عن قتادة قال: لم يزده ملكه (منها) (١) إلا قربًا.
Hazrat Qatadah says that ownership will only increase attachment.
Hadith 16919
١٦٩١٩ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري أنه كان يقول: إذا اشترى من امرأة نصيبًا فلا يقربها حتى يستخلصها.
Hazrat Zuhri used to say that when a man has bought a part of his wife, he should not go near her until he has freed her.
