Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if a man marries a free woman while having a slave woman, he should give one day to the slave woman and two days to the free woman.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says that a free woman will be given two days and two nights, while a slave woman will be given one day and one night.

Hazrat Masrooq states that when a free woman and a slave woman are combined, the free woman will be given two-thirds of his person and wealth.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far and Hazrat 'Amir say that a man can marry a free woman while having a slave-girl, and he will give one (night) to the slave-girl and two (nights) to the free woman.

Hasan says that when a free woman is married while a slave woman is also present, the free woman will have superiority in the division. The free woman will have two nights and the slave woman will have one night.

Ibrahim says that if a man marries a slave woman and then also marries a free woman, he may, if he wishes, keep the slave woman. But he will give the slave woman one night and the free woman two nights.

Hazrat Ata says that he will give two days to a free woman and one day to a slave woman.

Ibrahim says that he will give two days to the free woman and one day to the slave woman.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that a free woman will be given two days and a slave woman will be given one day.
