Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ata says that Tamattu’ was prescribed because people benefit from women and clothes in it.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Uthman narrates from a person that I saw Shaibah lifting the cloth of the covering of the Ka'bah that had fallen down and distributing it among the poor. Hazrat Sufyan said: There is no harm in buying it from the poor when it is to be given to them.
