Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

When Abdullah would perform Sa’i in the valley, he would recite this supplication: “O Lord, forgive and have mercy, surely You are the Most Mighty, the Most Noble.”

It is narrated in the same manner from Hazrat Abdullah.

When Hazrat Umar performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, he used to keep reciting this supplication until he left from there: "O my Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the Most Mighty, the Most Noble."

Hazrat Urwah used to recite this verse during the Sa'i of Safa and Marwah: "Indeed, this is all one if it is completed; Allah has completed it, and indeed He has completed it."

Hazrat Umm Walad Shaibah narrates that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying that the place of Al-Abtah should be crossed quickly and swiftly (one should pass through there with speed).

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite this supplication: "O Lord, forgive and have mercy, indeed You are the Most Mighty, the Most Generous."

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to supplicate with this very prayer.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say the same.
