Those Who Dislike Touching Maqam Ibrahim
Hadith 16223
١٦٢٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (بشير) (١) أن ابن الزبير رأى قومًا يمسحون المقام فقال: لم تؤمروا بهذا، إنما أمرتم بالصلاة عنده (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Zubair saw some people touching the Maqam Ibrahim (for blessings). He said, "You have not been commanded to do this; you have been commanded to perform prayer near it."
Hadith 16224
١٦٢٢٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا ابن فضيل عن ليث عن مجاهد قال: لا تقبل المقام ولا تلمسه.
Hazrat Mujahid says that the Maqam Ibrahim should not be kissed, nor should it be touched.
