Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hisham says that my father used to tie a cloth around his stomach, but he would not tie a knot in the state of Ihram.

Hazrat Ata and Hazrat Tawus state that we saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) in the state of Ihram, and he had tied a turban at the place where the Izar is tied (he had tied it with the turban).

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: Do not tie a knot by fastening anything while in the state of Ihram.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far says that there is no harm if a Muhrim ties a knot after bandaging a wound.

It is narrated from Hazrat Salih bin Abu Hassan that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who had tied a colored rope while in the state of Ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O one with the rope, untie it.

Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib says that if a Muhrim ties something on a wound and knots it, there is no harm in it.

Hazrat Ata also says the same.

Hazrat Ata says that there is no harm in doing so.

Hazrat Mujahid says that if a Muhrim's hand gets injured or his forehead gets wounded, then he should bandage it, and Hazrat Mansoor says that nothing is obligatory upon him for this.

It was asked from Hazrat Ata whether, if a Muhrim gets a wound on his hand, can he apply medicine to it? He replied: Yes, and he may also tie a cloth or something similar over it.

Hazrat Amr says that I asked Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid, "My waist-wrapper became loose in Arafat; can I tie it?" He replied, "Yes."

Hazrat Tawoos saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) performing Tawaf in such a state that he had tied the place of the Izar with a turban.
