Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

When Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) came for the stoning of Jamrah Aqabah, he would come to the bottom of the valley, face the Qiblah, keep it (the Jamrah) on his right side, and throw seven pebbles, reciting Takbeer with each pebble.

Abdur Rahman bin Yazid performed Hajj with Abdullah. He stoned (the Jamrah) with seven pebbles, keeping the Ka'bah to his left and Mina to his right, and then said: This is the place where Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed.

When Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Tawus, Hazrat Mujahid, and Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair performed the stoning, they would face towards the Qibla.

Hazrat Hajjaj says that I saw Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Al-Aswad, and Hazrat Amr bin Dinar standing on the left side of the Jamrah.
