Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) states that giving charity (as a voluntary act of worship), prayer, fasting, and circumambulation (if they are voluntary) — if you wish, you may complete them, and if you wish, you may discontinue them.

Hasan, Hazrat Qatadah, and Hazrat Ibn Sirin say regarding the person who begins a voluntary Tawaf and then leaves it incomplete, that he should make up for that Tawaf.

Ibrahim says that if the time for an obligatory prayer comes during Tawaf, then leave the Tawaf and perform the prayer, then complete the remaining circuits of Tawaf.

Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Tawus, and Hazrat Mujahid say that if you wish, you may complete this same tawaf, and if you wish, you may perform a new tawaf again.

Hazrat Salim was performing Sa'i between Safa and Marwah when the time for prayer arrived, so he offered the prayer and then proceeded to Safa and Marwah and completed the remaining rounds.

Hazrat Abdul Malik narrates from a Sheikh of Makkah Mukarramah that I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) performing Tawaf, and the time for prayer arrived. He joined the prayer, and when the prayer was completed, he resumed and completed the same Tawaf.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) completed the remaining circuits of his Tawaf.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair performed five circuits of Tawaf, then the time for prayer arrived, so he offered the prayer, then completed the remaining circuits of his Tawaf and performed two rak'ahs.

Hazrat Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Darham narrates that Hazrat Mujahid sent me for some task while I was performing Tawaf with him. I said to him: My Tawaf is not yet complete. He said: Return and then complete it.

Hasan says about the person who feels the need during Tawaf, he said: Leave the Tawaf and later perform the Tawaf anew.
