Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Khalid bin Abi Bakr says that I was with Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Ubaidullah bin Abdullah. I did not see either of them washing the pebbles of the Jamarat.

Hazrat Muammar says that I asked Hazrat Zuhri whether the one performing Rami should wash the pebbles? He replied, "No, except if there is some impurity or the like, then he should wash them."

Hazrat Qasim used to wash the pebbles for the Jamarat and then hold them and perform the Rami. He used to wash his hands and then hold those pebbles in the same way and perform the Rami.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair used to wash the pebbles.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Hazrat Ata about this matter. He replied, "Do not wash it."

Hazrat Tawus narrates from his father that he used to wash the pebbles of Jamrat.
