Praying Voluntary Prayers Between the Combined Prayers
Hadith 15884
١٥٨٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن (التيمي) (١) عن أبي (مجلز) (٢) أنه كان مع ابن عمر فأتى جمعًا فصلى المغرب، ثم التفت إلينا فقال: الصلاة جامعة، ولم يتجوز بينهما (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Majliz that he was with Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). They came to Arafat and performed the Maghrib prayer, then turned towards us and said: Now it is time for the second prayer. Do not exceed towards nafl (voluntary) prayers between them.
Hadith 15885
١٥٨٨٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن (يزيد) (١) قال: (حججت) (٢) مع عبد اللَّه، فلما أتى جمعًا أذن (وأقام) (٣) فصلى المغرب ثلاثًا، ثم تعشى، ثم أذن وأقام فصلى العشاء ركعتين (٤).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Yazid narrates that I performed Hajj with Hazrat Abdullah. When he arrived at Arafat, the call to prayer (adhan) was given and the iqamah was pronounced. Then he led three rak'ahs of Maghrib prayer. After that, he had his evening meal. Then the adhan was given and the iqamah was pronounced, and he performed two rak'ahs of Isha prayer.
Hadith 15886
١٥٨٨٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا غندر (عن شعبة) (١) عن الحكم عن عبد الرحمن بن الأسود عن أبيه أن (٢) عمر صنع مثل صنيع ابن مسعود (٣).
Hazrat Umar also did as Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) did.
Hadith 15887
١٥٨٨٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن ابن أبي ذئب عن (إبراهيم) (١) (عن سالم عن ابن عمر) (٢) أن النبي ﷺ جمع بينهما بجمع ولم يتطوع بينهما (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) combined two prayers and did not perform any voluntary (nafl) prayer between them.
