Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shurayh says that when you tie the Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, then when you come to Makkah, none of you should open the Ihram until the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr). Surely, soon they will say to you: When you have performed Tawaf for Hajj and Umrah, then open the Ihram. So do not obey them in this matter.

Hazrat Hussain bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Shurayh put on Ihram together for Hajj and Umrah, and neither of them became halal before the Day of Sacrifice.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Nasr that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: Recite the Talbiyah for both Hajj and Umrah. When you come to Makkah Mukarramah, perform two circuits (Tawaf) for them: one Tawaf for Umrah and one Tawaf for Hajj. And none of you should remove the Ihram before the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr).

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): When you intended to perform Hajj, what did you say? Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I said, "O Allah, I enter into Ihram with the same intention as Your Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, I have the sacrificial animal with me, and whoever is in Ihram with the sacrificial animal should not come out of Ihram. The narrator says that all the people came out of Ihram and had their hair cut short except the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and those who had the sacrificial animal with them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq and Hazrat Umar came, and both of them had put on the Ihram for Hajj, so both of them did not become halal until the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr).

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that whoever enters into the state of Ihram for Hajj and Umrah, one Tawaf is sufficient for him, and he should not exit from Ihram until he completes his Hajj as well, then he should exit from both Ihrams.
