Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that the ihram of a child will be made in the same way as that of an adult, and he will be kept away from perfume, and he will be circumambulated (taken for tawaf), and he will be present at the rituals, and the talbiyah will be recited on his behalf.

It is narrated in a similar manner from Hazrat Ata as well, but with the addition that the child should not be made to lead the prayer, and if they wish, they may put a shirt on him, and if they wish, they may not.

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq performed Tawaf with Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair in one garment.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) and Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) both used to separate children during Hajj and would perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah with them.

Hazrat Ata says that a child should be made to avoid in ihram the same things that an adult avoids, that is, adornment and fragrant things.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that we performed Hajj with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and we would recite the Talbiyah on behalf of the children.

Hazrat Qasim would set out for Hajj with children and would separate them from those who were not in Ihram.

Hazrat Urwah used to perform Hajj with children and would separate them at the time of Ihram.
