Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan says that if a child performs Hajj, a slave performs Hajj, and a Bedouin performs Hajj, then the Bedouin migrates, the child reaches maturity, and the slave is freed, it is obligatory for them to perform Hajj again.

Ibrahim says that if a slave performs Hajj several times and then is set free, Hajj becomes obligatory upon him again.

Hazrat Ata says that it is obligatory for a child and a slave to perform Hajj again, and for a Bedouin, his Hajj will suffice, because the reward of Hajj has been written for him wherever he may be.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Qurazi that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I wish to renew and revive this command in the hearts of the believers: If a child’s family performs Hajj with him and then the child passes away, that Hajj will suffice for him. But if he grows up, then Hajj is obligatory upon him. And if a slave performs Hajj with his family and then passes away, that Hajj will suffice for him, but if he is freed, then Hajj becomes obligatory upon him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Kuraib that a woman stood before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with her child and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Is Hajj obligatory upon him as well?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes, and its reward is for you."

Hazrat Ata says that for a Bedouin, his (one) Hajj will suffice.

Hazrat Qasim bin Abdur Rahman says that have children perform Hajj with you; if they pass away in childhood, then indeed they have performed Hajj, and if they remain alive, then they should perform Hajj again.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that if a slave performs Hajj with his family and then is set free, it is obligatory upon him to perform Hajj again. And if a child performs Hajj with his family and then, upon reaching adulthood (and possessing the means), it becomes obligatory upon him to perform Hajj. And if a Bedouin performs Hajj before migrating and then migrates, it is obligatory upon him to perform the Hajj of a migrant.

Hazrat Ibn Sirin states that the Companions believed that if a woman performed Hajj while she was pregnant, then Hajj would also be considered as performed on behalf of the child in her womb.

Hazrat Mujahid says that if a Bedouin performs Hajj, then that Hajj will suffice for Islam on his behalf.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that at the place of Rauha, some riders met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who are you?" They replied, "Muslims." Then they asked, "And who are you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)!" A woman raised her child and asked, "Is there Hajj for this one as well?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes, and the reward is for you."

Hazrat Tawoos says that a child's Hajj will be sufficient for him until he reaches adulthood.
