Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that a woman should not raise her voice while reciting the Talbiyah.

It is narrated from Ibrahim in the same manner.

Hazrat Ata says that a woman should not raise her voice while reciting the Talbiyah.

Hazrat Qasim narrates that on the night of Yawm al-Nafr, Hazrat Muawiyah went out and heard the sound of someone reciting the Talbiyah. He asked, "Who is reciting this?" People replied, "Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) is reciting it; she is performing Umrah from the place of Taneem." (Later) when this incident was mentioned before Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said, "If he had asked me, I would have explained the reason for reciting it aloud."

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that women are not to recite the Talbiyah in a loud voice.
