Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sabah bin Abdullah Al-Bajali narrates that I asked Hazrat Anas whether a person in the state of Ihram can slaughter (an animal) himself? He replied: Yes.

Ibrahim says that a person in the state of Ihram can slaughter anything except game.

Ibrahim and Hazrat Ata say that a person in the state of Ihram can slaughter everything except game.

Hazrat Sufyan was asked about the sacrifice of an animal by a person in the state of Ihram. He did not consider there to be any harm in it, and Hazrat Hakam also did not consider there to be any harm in it.

Hasan says that the animal slaughtered by a Muhrim is carrion.

Hazrat Ata says that the animal slaughtered by a Muhrim is carrion; do not eat it.
