Hadith 15069
١٥٠٦٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير وأبو الأحوص عن عبد العزيز بن رفيع عن عبد اللَّه بن أبي قتادة قال: كان أبو قتادة في نفر محرمين وأبو قتادة محل، فرأى أصحابه حمارًا (وحشيًّا) (١) فلم (يؤذنوه) (٢) حتى أبصره، فاختلس من بعضهم سوطًا (فصرعه) (٣) فأكلوا (وحملوا) (٤) منه، فلقوا رسول اللَّه ﷺ فسألوه (عنه) (٥) فقال: "هل أشار إليه أحد منكم؟ " قالوا: لا، قال: "فكلوا" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah that Hazrat Abu Qatadah was with people who were in the state of Ihram, while he himself was not in Ihram. His companions saw a wild donkey, but they did not point it out to him; however, he himself saw it. So he picked up a whip from some of them and brought the donkey down, then they ate it and also took some of its meat with them. Later, they met the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and asked him about this matter. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked, "Did any of you point towards this game?" The people replied, "No." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Then eat from it."
Hadith 15070
١٥٠٧٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد القطان عن ابن جريج عن محمد بن المنكدر عن معاذ بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه قال: كنا مع طلحة بن ⦗٣٤٠⦘ (عبيد) (١) اللَّه في الحج، ونحن محرمون قال: فأهدي لنا طائر وطلحة نائم قال: (فمنا) (٢) من أكل ومنا من تورع فلم (يأكل) (٣) فلما استيقظ طلحة ذكروا ذلك له قال: (فوفق) (٤) من أكله وقال: (أكلناه) (٥) مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٦).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman narrates that we were on the journey of Hajj with Hazrat Talha bin Ubaidullah and we were in the state of Ihram. A bird (that had been hunted) was brought to us as a gift. Hazrat Talha was resting. Some of us ate it and some refrained and did not eat it. When Hazrat Talha woke up, people mentioned it to him. He approved of those who had eaten it and said: We had eaten it with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 15071
١٥٠٧١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد (بن العوام) (١) عن يونس عن الحسن أن عمر بن الخطاب كان لا يرى بأسًا بلحم الطير إذا (صيد) (٢) لغيره، يعني في الإحرام (٣).
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab did not consider it objectionable to eat the meat of a bird that was hunted by someone other than a Muhrim.
Hadith 15072
١٥٠٧٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن أسامة بن زيد عن سالم قال: سمعت أبا هريرة (يقول) (١): (لما) (٢) قدمت من البحرين لقيني قوم من أهل العراق فسألوني عن الحلال يصيد الصيد (فيأكله) (٣) الحرام، فأفتيتهم بأكله فقدمت على عمر فسألته عن ذلك فقال: لو أفتيتهم بغيره ما أفتيت (أحدًا) (٤) ابدًا (٥).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when I returned from Bahrain, I met a group of people from Iraq. They asked me whether a game hunted by a halal (non-pilgrim) person could be eaten by a muhrim (person in the state of ihram). I gave them the verdict that it is permissible to eat. Then I went to Hazrat Umar and sought his opinion regarding this matter. He said, "You have given the correct verdict. If you had given them any other verdict, no one would ever take a verdict from you again."
Hadith 15073
١٥٠٧٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه أن الزبير ابن العوام كان يتزود (صفيف) (١) الوحش وهو محرم (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam, while in the state of Ihram, used to take dried meat of wild donkey as provisions (food for the journey).
Hadith 15074
١٥٠٧٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن يونس عن الحسن.
Hasan and Hazrat Ata do not see any harm if a muhrim eats an animal hunted by a halal person, provided that the halal person did not hunt it for the muhrim or with his weapon.
Hadith 15076
١٥٠٧٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن يونس بن أبي إسحاق عن أبيه عن (سعد) (١) بن عياض قال: سئل ابن مسعود عن قوم محرمين لقوا قومًا حلالًا معهم لحم صيد فإما باعوهم وإما أطعموهم؟ فقال: لا بأس (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Masood was asked: If a person in the state of Ihram meets a group not in Ihram, and they have the meat of a hunted animal with them, can he buy it from them or can they feed it to him? He replied: There is no harm in this.
Hadith 15077
١٥٠٧٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن قرة (بن خالد) (١) (عن) (٢) يزيد ابن عبد اللَّه بن الشخير (قال) (٣) رجل: اشترينا رِجْلَ حمار ونحن محرمون ⦗٣٤٢⦘ من قوم حلال قال: فمررنا (بأبي ذر) (٤) فسألناه فقال: (لا) (٥) أراكم (فجرتم) (٦)، لا بأس به (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Abdullah bin Shukhair that a person says: We bought the leg of a donkey from the Halal group while in the state of Ihram. Then we passed by Hazrat Abu Dharr and asked him about it. He said: I do not think that you have done anything sinful; there is no harm in it.
