Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) entered Makkah in such a state that there was a helmet on his blessed head.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qasim that when the companions of the Prophet would enter into the state of Ihram, they would keep their swords in their sheaths.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibrahim that the companions did not dislike carrying swords in their sheaths while traveling in the state of Ihram.

Hazrat Urwah used to enter the Haram with a sword.

Hazrat Ata says that if a Muhrim fears someone, then there is no harm if he hangs a sword.

Hazrat Ata says that no person should enter Makkah Mukarramah with weapons during Hajj and Umrah.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that a Muhrim should not lift weapons.

Hazrat Ata and Hazrat Mujahid say that a person in the state of Ihram should not enter Makkah with a weapon.

Hazrat Atiyyah narrates that I asked the slave of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the cause of his death. He replied that the tip of an arrow from a person among the people of Syria had struck him. Hajjaj came to visit him during his illness. A person said, "If I had known that you would be hurt, I would have done such and such." He (Ibn Umar) replied, "It was you who caused me harm, for you entered the Haram with weapons."

When Hazrat Abu Safar entered the Haram, a sword was hanging on him. When he was about to enter the Haram, he took off the sword.

Hazrat Uqbah bin Suhban narrates that I saw Hazrat Usman at the place of Abtah; his tent was set up and his sword was hanging in the tent.
