Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that no person should spend the nights of Mina during the days of Tashreeq behind this valley.

Hazrat Umar had forbidden that anyone should spend the night behind this pass, and he ordered them to enter Mina.

Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) disliked spending the nights of Mina in Makkah Mukarramah.

Hazrat Mujahid says that there is no harm in spending the first night in Makkah Mukarramah and the last night in Mina, and there is also no harm in spending the first night in Mina and the last night in Makkah Mukarramah.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ka'b says that the Sunnah way is that when you have completed the Tawaf, then spend the nights in Mina.

Hazrat Abu Qilabah says: Spend the days of Mina in Mina itself.

Hazrat Urwah states that no one should spend the night behind this valley during the days of Tashreeq.

Ibrahim says that if he spends the night on this side of the pass, then he must offer a sacrifice (dam).

It was asked from Hazrat Ata that if a person spends the nights of Mina in Makkah Mukarramah? He replied: He should give one dirham or something equivalent in charity.

Hazrat Mujahid disliked spending the entire night of Mina outside Mina.

Hazrat Salim says that if someone spends the night outside Mina, he should give one dirham in charity.
