Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Zuhr prayer at Arafat, then offered the Asr prayer, and did not perform any voluntary prayer between them.

Hazrat Umar performed the Zuhr and Asr prayers together at Arafat, then he observed the standing (Wuquf).

Hazrat Abdullah states that in Arafat, the Zuhr and Asr prayers will be performed together.

Hazrat Ibn Zubair states that it is among the Sunnahs of Hajj that after finishing the sermon, one should descend and lead the combined prayers of Zuhr and Asr, then perform the standing (wuquf) at Arafah.

Hasan Muhammad says that it is from the Sunnah to combine the Zuhr and Asr prayers at Arafah.

Hazrat Khalid bin Abu Bakr narrates that I offered prayer in Arafat behind Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Ubaidullah. Both of them combined the Zuhr and Asr prayers and did not recite aloud in them.

Hazrat Dhahak says that in Arafat, the Zuhr and Asr prayers will be performed together.
