Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked the covering of the face by a mahram woman, and said that there is no harm if she lets a cloth hang over her face, and he disliked the use of gloves.

Hazrat Ibrahim says that a Muhrimah may wear whatever clothes she wishes except for a veil and gloves.

The same is narrated from Hazrat Ata as well.

Hazrat Mujahid says that she may wear whatever she wishes except for the veil (burqa).

Hasan and Hazrat Ata state that a woman in ihram may wear gloves and trousers, but she should not wear a veil nor cover her face, and she may use whatever clothes she wishes except those garments dyed with wars or saffron.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) disliked the use of a veil and gloves for a woman in ihram.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a woman in Ihram should not wear gloves, nor should she wear clothes that have been dyed with saffron or wars.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) states that a woman in Ihram can use gloves and trousers.

Hazrat Shu’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about gloves. They said: There is no harm.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade women in the state of Ihram from wearing gloves and face veils, and from wearing clothes that have been dyed with wars or saffron.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that a woman in Ihram may wear any clothes she wishes except for a face veil and gloves, and she should not cover her face with a veil.
