Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

When Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) touched the Black Stone during ‘Umrah, he stopped reciting the Talbiyah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) continued to recite the Talbiyah during Umrah until he touched the Black Stone.

Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father and grandfather that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed three Umrahs, and in each Umrah, he continued reciting the Talbiyah until he touched the Black Stone.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states that when a person performing Umrah touches the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad), he should stop reciting the Talbiyah, and the person performing Hajj should continue reciting it until the stoning of the Jamrah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) would recite the Talbiyah during Umrah until he touched the Black Stone (then he would stop), and Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would stop reciting the Talbiyah when he entered the Haram.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that when one touches the Black Stone, he should stop reciting the Talbiyah, and Hazrat Ata says that when he enters the village, he should stop saying the Talbiyah.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair and Hazrat Mujahid would continue reciting the Talbiyah during Umrah until they performed Istilam of the Hajar Aswad (then they would stop reciting it).

Hazrat Abdul Hameed bin Jubair bin Shaibah narrates that I saw Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz and Hazrat Aban bin Uthman reciting Talbiyah for Umrah at Dhi Tuwa.

When Ibrahim would enter the Haram, he would stop reciting the Talbiyah.

When Hazrat Qasim would see the canopies of Makkah Mukarramah, he would stop reciting the Talbiyah.

Hazrat Mujahid says that the one performing Umrah should not stop reciting the Talbiyah until reaching the Istilam of Hajar al-Aswad.

It is narrated in the same way from Hazrat Aswad.

When Hazrat Urwah entered the Haram during the journey of Umrah, he would stop reciting the Talbiyah.

Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib says that during Umrah, one should continue reciting the Talbiyah until the canopies of Makkah Mukarramah become visible.

When the respected father of Hazrat Ja'far would see the houses of Makkah Mukarramah, he would stop reciting the Talbiyah.

The companions of Abdullah would continue reciting the Talbiyah during Umrah until they performed the Istilam of the Black Stone.

Hazrat Tawoos says that in Umrah, after performing Istilam of Hajar Aswad, the Talbiyah should be stopped.
