Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are no days more beloved to Allah in which good deeds are performed than these days, that is, the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. So, recite Takbeer, La ilaha illallah, and Tahmeed abundantly during them.

Hazrat Mujahid heard someone reciting the takbeer during the ten days, so he said: Why did he not raise his voice! Indeed, I found such people that when one of them would recite the takbeer in the mosque, the entire mosque would tremble due to his voice, then that voice would reach the people of the valley until it reached the place of Abtah, and the place of Abtah would tremble due to the voice, and indeed, the foundation of all of them would be that one person.

Hazrat Shu’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about the Takbeerat during the ten days. Both of them said, “This is an innovation (it has no basis).”
