Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that if a person is fasting for Hajj Tamattu', and before completing the fasts he acquires a sacrificial animal (hady), then he should stop fasting.

Hazrat Ata says regarding the person who fasts for three days during the days of Hajj, and then, while still in Makkah, he is able to obtain a sacrificial animal (hady), then sacrifice becomes obligatory upon him.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair and Hazrat Ikrimah state that if the sacrificial animal becomes available before shaving the head, then he should slaughter it.

Hazrat Mujahid says regarding the fidya of fasting that during his Hajj and Umrah, if sacrifice is available, he should perform it or give charity.

Hazrat Sulaiman bin Musa says that if he is in Hajj, then until he becomes halal, and if he is in Umrah, then until he performs the Tawaf of the House of Allah.

Hazrat Ata, Hazrat Ibn Sirin, and Hasan state that if you have fasted during Hajj and before completing your fasts you find (obtain) the sacrificial animal, then you must offer expiation (kafarah). But if you find it after completing your fasts, then there is no expiation upon you.
