Should the camel’s saddle be removed before slaughtering?
Hadith 14103
١٤١٠٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (أبو) (١) خالد عن ابن جريج عن عطاء قال: ينزع جلالها لا تتمرغ فيه، يعني البدن.
Hazrat Ata says that when slaughtering a camel by nahr, remove its saddle; do not let the sacrificial camel be smeared with the saddle.
Hadith 14104
١٤١٠٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو خالد عن (عبيد) (١) اللَّه عن نافع عن ابن عمر أنه كان لا ينحرها وعليها جلالها (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) would not perform nahr (sacrifice) on the animal that had a covering (decorative cloth) on it.
