Those who permitted stoning from the upper side
Hadith 13908
١٣٩٠٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن حجاج عن وبرة عن الأسود قال: رأيت عمر بن الخطاب يرمي جمرة العقبة من فوقها (١).
Hazrat Aswad narrates that I saw Hazrat Umar throwing pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah from above.
Hadith 13909
١٣٩٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن (إدريس) (١) عن ابن جريج قال: قلت ⦗٦٦⦘ لعطاء: كيف أرمي (الجمرتين) (٢) (القصويين؟) (٣) قال: (اعلهما) (٤) علوًا، ثم (تفرعهما) (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Juraij says that I asked Hazrat Ata: How should I perform the Rami (stoning) of the Jamrat that are on the edge of the valley? He replied: Come from the upper side and perform the Rami.
Hadith 13910
١٣٩١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن (عمر) (١) شيخ من أهل البصرة (عن) (٢) الحسن: أنه كان يرمي الجمرة من فوقها.
Hasan used to perform the stoning of the Jamrah from above.
Hadith 13911
١٣٩١١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا حميد بن عبد الرحمن الرؤاسي عن زهير عن الحسن بن الحر (عن الحكم) (١) (عن إبراهيم) (٢) عن أصحاب عبد اللَّه أنهم كانوا (يرمون الجمرتين الأوليين من فوقها) (٣)؛ يرمون أعلى شيء منهما.
It is narrated from Ibrahim that the companions of Abdullah used to throw pebbles at the first two Jamarat from their upper side; they would do so from the elevated place above them.
Hadith 13912
١٣٩١٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن مالك (بن أنس) (١) عن (عبد الرحمن) (٢) بن القاسم عن أبيه قال: ارميهما من حيث تيسر.
Hazrat Qasim said: "Perform the stoning of the Jamrah from wherever it is easy."
