Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: Staying at the place of Abtah is not necessary; indeed, it is only a place where the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) did not stay at the place of Abtah, and used to say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had only stopped here to wait for Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at the place of Abtah because it was a more suitable place for departure. Staying there is not a Sunnah.

It is narrated in a similar manner from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Hazrat Tawus, Hazrat Mujahid, and Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair did not stay at the place of Abtah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Fatimah that Hazrat Asma would not stay at the place of Abtah.

Hazrat Tawus says that greenery comes from the sky.

Hazrat Mujahid disliked staying at the place of Abtah.

Hazrat Hisham states that his respected father did not stay at the place of Abtah.
