Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Husain bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) set out for Hajj and on the way he complained of discomfort. He pointed towards his head. People submitted to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Husain is pointing towards his head. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered that a camel be given in charity on behalf of him to the people on the way, and had his hair cut.

Hazrat Mujahid says that a person in Ihram may offer the fidya wherever he wishes.

Hazrat Tawus says that the compensation for blood, charity, or hunting should be given in Makkah, and voluntary fasts can be observed wherever one wishes.

Hazrat Ata says that the sacrifice (dam) should be performed in Makkah, and as for voluntary fasts or charity, they can be performed wherever one wishes.

Hasan and Hazrat Ata say that every obligatory sacrifice should be performed in Makkah.

Ibrahim says: Whoever has to perform a penalty for a mistake should do so in Mecca, but charity and voluntary fasts can be performed wherever he wishes.

Hazrat Ata says that the sacrifice (dam) will be performed in Makkah.
