Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the Ka'bah at night.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Munkadir states that the companions would not hasten in performing the Tawaf al-Ifadah except for those whose wives were with them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Tawoos that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed the Tawaf until the night.

Hazrat Aflah's father narrates that we were with Hazrat Abu Ayyub in a group of the Ansar. No one performed the Tawaf. When all the people had completed the Tawaf, then we performed the Tawaf. Except for one man who had his family with him. He performed the Tawaf quickly because of them.

Hazrat Ata says that there is no harm in delaying the Tawaf until returning.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ishaq says that I saw Hazrat Qasim bin Muhammad in Mina wearing a turban and a shirt; he performed the Tawaf Ifadah on the last day of the days of Tashreeq.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) used to come to Makkah at the time when he had to perform Tawaf-e-Ifadah.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came one day after the Day of Sacrifice. He was told, "They are sleeping," and then after that he did not perform Tawaf.

Ibrahim says that there is no harm in delaying the Tawaf until the next day.

Hazrat Rabee’ bin Sa’d narrates that I met Hazrat Abu Ja’far on the morning of Yawm al-Nahr. I said to him, “I have not performed the Tawaf yet.” He replied, “I have also performed the Tawaf only today.”

Hazrat Amr bin Dinar said after the days of Tashreeq: I have not performed Tawaf yet.

Hazrat Ibn Tawoos narrates that my respected father used to perform Tawaf at night.

Ibrahim says that there is no harm in performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah on the night of the Day of Sacrifice, but one should not spend the night in Makkah.

Ibrahim says that if a person omits the Tawaf until the days of Tashreeq have passed, then he must offer a sacrifice (dam) for it.

Hazrat Mujahid says that there is no harm in delaying the Tawaf until the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr).
