Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if one is unable to fast during the ten days, then he should have suhoor on the night he stays at Hasbah and keep three fasts, then after returning, keep seven fasts.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that whoever misses fasts during the days of Hajj should observe fasts during the days of Tashreeq, for indeed these too are among the days of Hajj.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) allowed the one performing Tamattu’ that if he could not fast within ten days, he may fast during the days of Tashreeq.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that if the one performing Tamattu’ is unable to fast during the ten days, then he should feed (the needy) in place of three fasts, and when he returns, he should fast seven days.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not permit those performing Tamattu’ to fast during the days of Tashreeq, except for the one who does not find a sacrificial animal; he may fast.
