Those who disliked marriage during ihram
Hadith 13421
١٣٤٢١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا ابن عيينة عن أيوب بن موسى عن نبيه بن (وهب) (١) أن عمر بن (عبيد اللَّه) (٢) بن معمر أراد أن ينكح وهو محرم، فأرسل إلى أبان بن عثمان (يسأله، فقال أبان: إن عثمان حدث) (٣) أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "المحرم لا ينكح ولا يخطبُ" (٤).
Hazrat Umar bin Ubaidullah bin Ma'mar intended to marry while in the state of Ihram. He sent someone to Hazrat Aban bin Uthman to ask him about it. Hazrat Aban said: Hazrat Uthman narrates a hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that a person in Ihram should neither marry nor send a marriage proposal to anyone.
Hadith 13422
١٣٤٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا الفضل بن دكين عن حماد بن زيد عن مطر عن ربيعة عن سليمان بن يسار عن أبي رافع قال: تزوج النبي ﷺ ميمونة وهو (حلال) (١)، وكنت الرسول فيما بينهما (٢).
Hazrat Abu Rafi' says that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married Hazrat Maymunah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was not in the state of Ihram, and I was the messenger between the two.
Hadith 13423
١٣٤٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا ابن عيينة عن عمرو عن الزهري عن يزيد بن الأصم أن النبي ﷺ نكح وهو حلال (١).
Hazrat Yazid bin Asam narrates that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married, he was not in the state of Ihram.
Hadith 13424
١٣٤٢٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (ثنا) (١) يحيى بن آدم قال: ثنا جرير بن حازم قال: ثنا أبو (فزارة) (٢) عن يزيد بن الأصم (٣) قال: (حدثتنا) (٤) ميمونة أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ تزوجها وهو حلال (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Asam that Hazrat Maymunah states that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was not in the state of Ihram.
Hadith 13425
١٣٤٢٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا (حاتم) (١) بن إسماعيل عن جعفر عن أبيه ⦗٤٨٥⦘ أن عمر وعليًا (قالا) (٢): (المحرم) (٣) لا ينكح ولا (يُنكح) (٤) (فإن نكح) (٥) (فنكاحه) (٦) باطل (٧).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) and Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) say that a person in the state of Ihram should neither marry himself nor arrange a marriage for someone else; if he marries while in the state of Ihram, his marriage will be considered invalid.
Hadith 13426
١٣٤٢٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا ابن عيينة عن (أيوب) (١) بن موسى (عن نافع أبي عمر وابن عمر) (٢) قال: (أحدهما) (٣) لا ينكح ولا يخطب وقال الآخر: (لا) (٤) ينكح (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) once said: A person in the state of Ihram shall neither marry nor send a marriage proposal, and on another occasion he said: A person in the state of Ihram shall not marry.
Hadith 13427
١٣٤٢٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: (لا يزوج المحرم ولا يتزوج) (١) (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that a Muhrim shall neither marry himself nor arrange the marriage of another.
Hadith 13428
١٣٤٢٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا غندر عن شعبة عن (سعد بن) (١) إبراهيم ⦗٤٨٦⦘ قال: كتب يزيد بن عبد الملك إلى أهل المدينة (يسألهم) (٢) عن المحرم يتزوج، (قالوا) (٣): يفرق بينهما.
Hazrat Saad bin Ibrahim says that Hazrat Yazid bin Abdul Malik wrote to the people of Madinah asking whether a person in the state of Ihram can marry. All of them replied: Separation will be enforced between them.
Hadith 13429
١٣٤٢٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا وكيع عن قدامة بن موسى قال: زوجني أهلي وأنا محرم، فأرسلنا إلى سعيد بن المسيب فقال: المحرم لا ينكح ولا يُنكح.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that what is meant by this is Zakat.
Hadith 13430
١٣٤٣٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا وكيع عن هشام بن (سعد) (١) عن عطاء الخُرَاسَانِيّ قال: قلت لسعيد بن المسيب: إن عكرمة يقول: (تزوج) (٢) النبي ﷺ وهو محرم، فقال: كذب.
Hazrat Abu Ishaq says that Abu Maisarah used to serve food after the prayer.
Hadith 13431
١٣٤٣١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري قال: المحرم لا (يتزوج) (١) ولا (يزوج) (٢).
Hazrat Zuhri says that a person in the state of Ihram will neither marry nor arrange a marriage for someone else.
