Hadith 12262
١٢٢٦٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن ثور عمن حدثه أن أبا عبيدة صلى على رؤوس بالشام (١).
It is narrated from Thawr that Abu Ubaidah performed the funeral prayer over skulls.
Hadith 12263
١٢٢٦٣ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال) (١): حدثنا (٢) عمر عن (ثور) (٣) عن خالد بن معدان عن أبي عبيدة مثله (٤).
The same is narrated from Hazrat Khalid bin Ma'dan.
Hadith 12264
١٢٢٦٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن رجل أن أبا أيوب صلَّى على رجل (١).
Hazrat Sufyan narrates from a person that Hazrat Abu Ayyub led the prayer standing on one leg.
Hadith 12265
١٢٢٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (شريك) (١) عن جابر عن عامر أن عمر صلَّى على عظام بالشام (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aamir that Hazrat Umar offered the funeral prayer over bones in the region of Shaam.
Hadith 12266
١٢٢٦٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (ثنا) (١) مروان عن صاعد (٢) بن مسلم عن الشعبي سئل عن قتيل وجد في ثلاثة أحياء رأسه في حي ووسطه في حي (ورجله) (٣) في حي؟ قال: يصلَّى على الوسط.
Hazrat Sa'id bin Muslim narrates that Hazrat Sha'bi was asked about a murdered person whose body was found in three places (parts): his head in one place, the middle part in another place, and the legs in a third place. He replied that the funeral prayer should be performed over the middle part.
