Should a menstruating woman perform the funeral prayer?
Hadith 12259
١٢٢٥٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع بن الجراح عن حنظلة عن القاسم قال: الحائض لا تصلي على الجنازة.
Hazrat Qasim says that a menstruating woman will not perform the funeral prayer.
Hadith 12260
١٢٢٦٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير عن محل عن الشعبي قال: سئل عن الحائض تصلي على الجنازة؟ قال: لا، ولا (الطاهرة) (١).
Hazrat Mahal states that Hazrat Imam Shabi was asked regarding a menstruating woman: should she perform the funeral prayer? He replied: Neither a menstruating woman nor a pure woman should perform it.
Hadith 12261
١٢٢٦١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير عن عبد اللَّه (بن حبيب) (١) ابن أبي ثابت قال: سألت عطاء تصلي (الحائض) (٢) على الجنازة؟ قال: لا.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Habib bin Abi Thabit narrates that I asked Hazrat Ata: Should a menstruating woman perform the funeral prayer? He replied: No.
