Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ata says that if a man and a woman are to be buried in the same grave, the man will be placed in front of the woman.

Hazrat Mujahid and Hazrat Ata state that if a man and a woman are to be buried in the same grave, the man will be placed in front of the woman.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah honor his face) when leading the funeral prayer for both men and women together, would place the men closer to the Imam and the women closer to the Qiblah. And when burying them, he would first place the men and then the women.

Hazrat Qatadah says that if a man and a woman are buried in one grave, the man will be placed in front of her.

The same is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah.
