Should bricks be embedded or stood upright on the grave?
Hadith 12084
١٢٠٨٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد اللَّه بن عيسى عن الزهري عن علي بن حسين قال: نصب اللبن علي قبر النبي ﷺ نصبًا (١).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), son of Hussain, narrates that bricks were fixed on the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Hadith 12085
١٢٠٨٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن هشام عن الحسن ومحمد قالا: إن شئت بنيت القبر بناء، وإن شئت نصبت اللبن نصبًا.
Hasan and Muhammad say that if you wish, set the bricks upright, and if you wish, embed them.
Hadith 12086
١٢٠٨٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري عن علي ابن (حسين) (١) (أن) (٢) رسول اللَّه ﷺ نصبوا (عليه) (٣) اللبن نصبًا (٤).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), son of Hussain, narrates that bricks were fixed on the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Hadith 12087
١٢٠٨٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا شريك عن جابر عن أبي جعفر وسالم والقاسم قالوا: كان قبر النبي ﷺ وأبي بكر وعمر جثا قبلة نصب لهم اللبن نصبًا (١).
Hazrat Abu Ja'far, Hazrat Salim, and Hazrat Qasim state that the blessed grave of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the blessed grave of Hazrat Siddiq Akbar, and the blessed grave of Hazrat Umar were inclined towards the Qibla (facing the Qibla), and bricks had been fixed upon them.
