Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have a reward of one qirat, and whoever remains until the burial and waits will have a reward of two qirats, and a qirat is equal to the mountain of Uhud.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have a reward of one qirat, and whoever remains present until the burial will have a reward of two qirats, and a qirat is equal to the mountain of Uhud. Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him, "Consider carefully what you are saying." Then he sent someone to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) for confirmation, and Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) confirmed it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Thawban that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever follows a funeral (and offers the prayer), for him is the reward of one qirat. And whoever remains until the burial, for him is the reward of two qirats. The companions asked, O Messenger of Allah! How much is a qirat? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The smallest of them is equal to the mountain of Uhud.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), Hazrat Saeed al-Maqburi, Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), and Hazrat Abdullah state: Whoever performs the funeral prayer will have a reward of one qirat. And whoever remains until the burial will have a reward of two qirats, and a qirat is equal to the mountain of Uhud.

Hazrat Jubair bin Salih narrates that I heard the same from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever goes to the family of the deceased and accompanies them until he offers the funeral prayer, for him is the reward of one qirat. And whoever remains with them until the burial, for him is the reward of two qirats, and a qirat is like the mountain of Uhud.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone, for him is the reward of one qirat.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will have one qirat of reward, and whoever remains until the burial will have two qirats.
