Some scholars say the woman's body should be placed closer to the imam
Hadith 11923
١١٩٢٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا عبد اللَّه بن جابر عن (عبيد اللَّه) (١) بن عمر عن سالم والقاسم قالا: النساء مما يلي الإمام والرجال مما يلي القبلة.
Hazrat Salim and Hazrat Qasim say: Place the body of a woman near the Imam, and the bodies of men near the Qiblah.
Hadith 11924
١١٩٢٤ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ليث عن عطاء قال: الرجال بين يدي النساء.
Hazrat Ata says: The body of a deceased man will be placed in front of women.
Hadith 11925
١١٩٢٥ - حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن (حميد) (١) عن بكر قال: كان (مسلمة) (٢) ⦗٧٤⦘ ابن مُخلَّد بمصر قال: (فجاؤونا) (٣) برجال ونساء، فجعلوا لا يدرون كيف يصنعون، فقال مسلمة: سنتكم (في) (٤) الموت سنتكم في الحياة، قال: فجعل النساء مما يلي الإمام والرجال أمام ذلك (٥).
Hazrat Bakr narrates that Hazrat Muslamah bin Makhlad was in Egypt. Men and women (their funerals) were brought to us, and the people did not know how to place them for the funeral prayer. Hazrat Muslamah said, "The manner of your death is like the manner of your life." He placed the funeral of the women close to the imam and the men in front of them.
