If someone joins the funeral prayer after the imam has said the takbir, should he join immediately or wait for the imam's takbir?
Hadith 11834
١١٨٣٤ - حدثنا هشيم عن مغيرة عن الحارث أنه كان يقول: إذا انتهى الرجل إلى الجنازة وقد سبق ببعض التكبير لم يكبر حتى يكبر الإمام.
Hazrat Harith says that when a person reaches the funeral prayer at a time when the imam has already said some takbirs, he should not say the takbir immediately, but should wait for the imam's takbir (and then join the prayer).
Hadith 11835
١١٨٣٥ - حدثنا معاذ عن أشعث عن الحسن في الرجل ينتهي إلى الجنازة وهم يصلون عليها قال: يدخل معهم بتكبيرة.
Hasan says that if a person comes for the funeral prayer and the people are performing the funeral prayer, then he should also join them by saying the takbeer, (he should not wait for the imam's takbeer).
