Hadith 11239
١١٢٣٩ - حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم قال: ذكروا (عنده) (١) غسل الميت فقالوا: كاغتسال الرجل من الجنابة.
Mention was made to Ibrahim about giving ghusl (ritual washing) to a deceased person, so he said: In the same manner as a person in a state of janabah performs ghusl.
Hadith 11240
١١٢٤٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن أبي (المعتمر) (١) عن قتادة قال: يجزئ البيت في الغسل (كما) (٢) يجزئ الجنب.
11240 - Waki‘ narrated to us from Abu (al-Mu‘tamar) (1) from Qatadah who said: The house suffices in washing (just) as it suffices for the junub.
Hadith 11241
١١٢٤١ - حدثنا (محمد) (١) بن أبي عدي عن حميد عن بكر قال: قدمت المدينة فسألت عن غسل الميت فقال بعضهم: اصنع بميتك كما تصنع بعروسك غير أن لا تخلقه.
Hazrat Bakr says that I came to Madinah Tayyibah and asked about the bathing of the deceased. Some people said: Bathe the deceased just as a bride is bathed, except that saffron perfume should not be applied to him.
