Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mujahid states that whatever grows from the earth, whether it is little or much, is subject to ‘ushr or half ‘ushr.

Hazrat Hammad states that whatever grows (sprouts) from the earth is subject to ‘ushr or half ‘ushr.

Hazrat Hammad states that whatever comes out of the earth is subject to zakat. To the extent that for every ten bundles (of vegetables), one bundle of vegetables is due.

Imam Zuhri states that nothing will be fixed (as a specific amount) in fruits, and he said that ‘ushr or half-‘ushr will be applicable.

It is also narrated in this manner from Hazrat Mujahid.

Hazrat Muammar states that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz had also written and sent (a letter) to the people of Yemen in this manner.

Ibrahim states: There is zakat on whatever the land produces.
