ما قالوا في الصائم إذا أفطر ما يقول
What should a fasting person say at the time of iftar?
Hadith 10004
١٠٠٠٤ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن حصين عن أبي (زهرة) (١) قال: كان النبي ﷺ إذا صام ثم أفطر قال: "اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك أفطرت" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Zahra narrates that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast, he would say: O Allah! I have fasted for You and with Your provision I have broken my fast. Hazrat Rabee’ bin Khuthaym used to say at the time of breaking the fast: All praise is for Allah who granted me the ability so I fasted, and He provided for me and I broke my fast.
Hadith 10006
١٠٠٠٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام عن يحيى بن أبي (كثير) (١) عن أنس قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ إذا أفطر عند أهل بيت قال: " (أفطر) (٢) عندكم الصائمون وأكل طعامكم الأبرار ونزلت عليكم الملائكة" (٣).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would break his fast with a household, he would say these words: "May those who are fasting break their fast with you, may righteous people eat your food, and may angels descend upon you."
