Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aswad used to observe fasting throughout the year.

Hazrat Urwah used to observe perpetual fasting both during travel and at home.

Hazrat Usman used to observe fasting every day and would stand in prayer at night, except that he would sleep a little in the early part of the night.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Hazrat Umar used to fast continuously for two years before his death.
