Can a Fasting Person Apply Medicine to the Throat?
Hadith 9533
٩٥٣٣ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن مبارك عن الأوزاعي قال: لا بأس أن يداوي الصائم لثته.
Hazrat Awza'i says that there is no harm if a fasting person applies medicine to his gums.
Hadith 9534
٩٥٣٤ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن الحسن (في الرجل يكون) (١) بفيه الجرح والعلة قال: لا بأس أن يضع عليه (الحضض) (٢) وأشباهه من الدواء.
Hasan, regarding the person who has a wound or disease in his mouth, says that he can apply hazzaz or any other medicine to it.
Hadith 9535
٩٥٣٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن حماد بن زيد عن يحيى بن عتيق عن ابن سيرين في رجل أصابه سلاق في شفتيه قال: لا بأس (بالحضض) (١).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin says that if a person develops blisters on the lips, he can apply a medicine called Hazzaz.
