Ruling on Salah Performed Without Recitation
Hadith 9063
٩٠٦٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن أشعث عن محمد قال: (كانوا) (١) يقولون في الذي يصلي بغير قراءة قولا شديدا أهاب أن أقوله.
Muhammad says that the predecessors used to say a harsh thing about the one who performed prayer without recitation, which I cannot bring myself to utter.
Hadith 9064
٩٠٦٤ - حدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن أشعث عن الحسن قال: إذا لم يقرأ الإمام ولا من خلفه أعادوا الصلاة كلهم.
Hasan says that if the imam and his followers did not recite (the Qur'an), then they will repeat the prayer.
Hadith 9065
٩٠٦٥ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ابن عون عن إبراهيم قال: لو صليت خلف رجل لا أعلم أنه (يقرأ) (١) أعدت صلاتي.
Ibrahim says that if I pray behind someone and I do not know about his recitation, then I will repeat the prayer.
