Those Who Would Say 'Subhana Rabbiyal A'la' After Reciting {Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High}
Hadith 8875
٨٨٧٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن عمير بن سعيد قال: سمعت أبا موسى قرأ في الجمعة بـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ فقال: سبحان ربي الأعلى (١).
Hazrat Abu Musa recited the verse of the Holy Qur'an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord) in Jumu'ah, and after that said: Subhana Rabbiya al-A'la (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8876
٨٨٧٦ - [حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن مسعر عن عمير بن سعيد قال: صليت مع أبي موسى الجمعة فقرأ بـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ (الْأَعْلَى) (١)﴾، فقال: سبحان ربي الأعلى] (٢) وهو في الصلاة (٣).
Hazrat Abu Musa, after reciting the verse of the Holy Qur'an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord) in the Friday prayer, said: SUBHAN RABBIYAL A'LA (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8877
٨٨٧٧ - حدثنا عبدة ووكيع عن سفيان عن السدي عن عبد خير أن عليًّا قرأ: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ فقال: سبحان ربي الأعلى قال: عبده وهو في الصلاة (١).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) recited the verse of the Holy Qur'an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord) during prayer, and after that said, "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la" (My Most High Lord is Pure).
Hadith 8878
٨٨٧٨ - حدثنا عبدة عن هشام قال: سمعت ابن الزبير يقرأ: بـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ فقال (١): سبحان ربي الأعلى [وهو في الصلاة (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Zubair, after reciting the verse of the Holy Qur'an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord) in prayer, said SUBHAN RABBIYAL A'LA (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8879
٨٨٧٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام قال: سمعت ابن الزبير يقرأ بـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ فقال: سبحان ربي الأعلى] (١) (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Zubair recited the verse of the Holy Qur’an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord), and then said: Subhana Rabbiya al-A‘la (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8880
٨٨٨٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن أبيه عن أبي إسحاق عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس أنه قرأ: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ فقال: سبحان ربي الأعلى (١).
After reciting the verse of the Holy Qur’an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord), Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Subhana Rabbiya al-A‘la (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8881
٨٨٨١ - حدثنا وكيع عن حماد (١) بن نجيح عن أبي المتوكل عن ابن الزبير مثله (٢).
The same is narrated from Ibn Zubair as well.
Hadith 8882
٨٨٨٢ - حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال: ثنا عبد اللَّه بن الوليد عن عبيد بن الحسن (قال): كان (١) عروة بن المغيرة إذا أم الناس ها هنا فقرأ: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾، قال: سبحان ربي الأعلى.
Hazrat Ubaid bin Hasan narrates that Hazrat Urwah bin Mughira led the people in prayer at this place. After reciting the verse of the Holy Qur’an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord), he said, "Subhana Rabbiya al-A'la" (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8883
٨٨٨٣ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن الأصبغ بن زيد عن القاسم بن أبي أيوب عن سعيد (بن) (١) جبير أنه كان إذا قرأ: ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ قال: سبحان ربي الأعلى.
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair, after reciting the verse of the Holy Qur'an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord), would say: Subhana Rabbiya al-A'la (My Most High Lord is pure).
Hadith 8884
٨٨٨٤ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن الجريري عن أبي نضرة عن (عمر أنه) (١) كان إذا ⦗٣٩٦⦘ قرأ: ﴿(سَبِّحِ) (٢) اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ قال: سبحان ربي الأعلى (٣).
After reciting the verse of the Holy Qur’an { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّکَ الأَعْلَی } (Glorify the name of your Most High Lord), Hazrat Umar would say: SUBHANA RABBIYAL A‘LA (My Most High Lord is pure).
