Hadith 8597
٨٥٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: ثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا (مغيرة) (١) عن إبراهيم في قوله تعالى: ﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا﴾ [الأعراف: ٢٠٤]، قال: في الصلاة المكتوبة.
Ibrahim says that the command of Allah Almighty { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent) pertains to the obligatory prayer.
Hadith 8598
٨٥٩٨ - حدثنا هشيم عن العوام (أخبرنا) (١) (عن) (٢) مجاهد قال: في خطبة الإمام يوم الجمعة.
Hazrat Mujahid says that the command of Allah Almighty { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent) relates to the sermon of the Imam on the day of Jumu'ah.
Hadith 8599
٨٥٩٩ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أنا (جويبر) (١) عن الضحاك قال: في الصلاة المكتوبة وعند الذكر.
Hazrat Dhahhak says that the command of Allah Almighty { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent) pertains to obligatory prayer and remembrance.
Hadith 8600
٨٦٠٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن (حريث) (١) عن الشعبي.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mughaffal says that the command of Allah Almighty { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent) pertains to the obligatory prayer.
Hadith 8603
٨٦٠٣ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أنا من سمع الحسن يقول: عند الصلاة المكتوبة وعند الذكر.
Hasan says that the command of Allah Almighty { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent) pertains to obligatory prayer and remembrance.
Hadith 8604
٨٦٠٤ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن (الهجري) (١) عن أبي عياض عن أبي هريرة قال: كانوا يتكلمون في الصلاة فنزلت: ﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴾ قالوا هذا في الصلاة (٢).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah narrates that people used to talk during prayer, upon which this verse was revealed { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent), and it was said that this is regarding prayer.
Hadith 8605
٨٦٠٥ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر (عن أشعث) (١) عن إبراهيم قال: كان النبي ﷺ يقرأ (و) (٢) رجل يقرأ [(فأنزل) (٣) اللَّه تعالى] (٤): ﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا﴾ (٥).
Ibrahim narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was reciting the Qur'an on the ground when another man also began to recite. At that, this verse was revealed: { وَإِذَا قُرِیئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَہُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } (When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it attentively and remain silent).
Hadith 8606
٨٦٠٦ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن منصور قال: سمعت إبراهيم بن أبي (حرة) (١) أنه سمع مجاهدًا قال في هذه الآية: ﴿وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ ⦗٣٣٢⦘ وَأَنْصِتُوا﴾ قال: في الصلاة والخطبة (يوم الجمعة) (٢).
