Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Husain says that I asked Ibrahim, if a person sees blood on his clothes during prayer, what should he do? He replied that if it is a lot, he should remove the garment, and if it is a little, he should continue praying.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says that if a person sees blood on his clothes during prayer, and if he has the ability to remove that garment, then he should remove it. If he does not have the ability to remove it, then he should go and wash it. Then, he should complete the remainder of the prayer from where he left off.

Hazrat Nafi' states that the practice of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was that if he saw blood on his clothes, whether little or much, he would go and wash it.

Hasan says that when you see blood on your clothes, while you have already performed some part of the prayer, then remove the garment and continue praying.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hammad, if a person sees blood on his clothes during prayer, what should he do? He replied that he should remove the garment. I asked him, if he has only two garments, then what should he do? He replied that he should remove one garment and take the other from under his left armpit and place it over his right shoulder. I also asked Hazrat Hakam about this matter, and he also said the same.

Hazrat Aflah narrates that if Hazrat Qasim saw blood on his clothes, he would take them off.

Hazrat Abu Majliz says that if a person starts the prayer by saying the takbeer and does not see anything, then after starting the prayer he sees blood, he should complete the prayer.

Hazrat Abu Ja'far says that if you see blood on your clothes during prayer, then continue to pray.

Hazrat Hajim says that I asked Hazrat Abdullah bin Rabah, "If I see blood on my clothes, what should I do?" He replied, "Continue to perform the prayer, and when you have completed the prayer, then wash it off."
