Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ata says that a menstruating woman should purify herself during the prayer times and sit in one place to remember Allah.

Hazrat Mu'tamir says that my father narrated that once Hazrat Abu Qilabah was asked whether a menstruating woman should perform ablution upon hearing the call to prayer and recite tasbih. He replied that we had asked about this matter, but we did not find any basis for this practice.

Hazrat Abu Qilabah says that we did not find any basis for this action.

Ibrahim says that this is an innovation (bid'ah).

Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad declared it as disliked (makruh).
