Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mujahid says that I accompanied Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) during travel and at home, and I never saw him lie down after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr.

Hazrat Hasan bin Ubaidullah narrates that Ibrahim considered it undesirable to lie down after the two Sunnah of Fajr.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib narrates that Hazrat Umar saw a man lying down after the two Sunnah of Fajr, so he said, "Stop him."

Hazrat Abdullah says: What is the matter with the person who, after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr, lies down on the ground like an animal or a donkey? When he has completed the Salam, the separation between the Nafl and the Fard has occurred.

Hazrat Abu Majliz says that I asked Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) about lying on the right side after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr, so he replied that it is Satan who teases you and makes you do this act.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr, do not lie down, but lie down after offering Witr.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib says: Why do you lie down on the ground after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr? Saying salam is sufficient.

Ibrahim says that this way of lying down is from Satan.

Hasan did not like to lie down after offering the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.

Hazrat Abu Sadiq Naji reports that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) saw some people lying down after performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr. He sent a man to forbid them from this, so they said, "We only wish to act upon the Sunnah." Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "This is an innovation (bid'ah)."

Hazrat Aswad bin Yazid, after offering the two Sunnah of Fajr, would sit cross-legged.

Hazrat Abdullah says: After offering the two Sunnah of Fajr, where did this practice of lying on the ground like a donkey come from?
